My name is Janet Ellenstein. and My husband David and Guy Minnis have been friends since 1965 at Harrison High School in Evansville Indiana. Guy and Dave played football together at Harrison. Guy went into the Marines to protect us all and Dave started working. Guy spent 33 years as an Evansville Police Department Detective. He was the head of training in many different departments including Swat, Bomb Squad and Firearms instructor. He retired two years ago and continues to teach hundreds if not thousands of Americans the safe and proper form of handgun and long gun use. Dave and Guy's wife Debbie worked together and became good friends also. Ten days ago Debbie (52 years old) came down with a mystery illness with a 104.5 fever that has still not been diagnosed. She has been on life support for a week but has a chance to get off the 24 hour dialysys and the ventilator keeping her alive. She has thousands of FBF and more praying for her recovery.
Debbie was working full time and has been the main income earner in the Minnis household since Guy retired.
He is now faced with mounting hospital and Dr. bills that will easily exceed a Million Dollars as well as a wife, assuming she survives, who may never work again or at best some limited time for a long time.
My husband and I are asking for everyone, everywhere to just pledge or send $10 to this campaign to help a true American Hero, a Marine, a Detective and his adorable and loving wife and partner Debbie Minnis.
