Stacie's NEW smile :)

Donation protected
Now 39, my sister-in-law Stacie was only 18 when she was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. It took her choices away, and has left her on permanent disability. In the last 21 years she has had dozens of surgeries, has only 14% of her intestine left and we have had more scares of losing her than we care to remember. Through all of this, Stacie has always been a light to others. She radiates kindness and is generous to everyone she meets, including animals. Children are drawn to her and love spending time with her. She gives her time freely to them listening to their stories and telling them how wonderful they are.

Because of all if the medications that she has been taking over the last two decades, her teeth have deteriorated to the point where she is constantly fighting infections and broken teeth. Many of her teeth are now gone, and the ones that are left are brittle and at risk.

With the fact that she has an ileostomy and so little intestine left to digest her food properly means that she has to chew her food extra good, and this is not possible with the condition of her teeth.

With Stacie on a disability income, she simply could not afford to go to the dentist often and was struggling. For Christmas this year, my family decided that we would not buy Christmas presents this year, and instead get Stacie's teeth fixed. We thought we were looking at pulling teeth and getting dentures, so around $1000 - $1500. It was a stretch, but could not wait any longer and this was the best way we could come up with, pooling our money together.

December 5, this year, we took her to her first appointment. It was not as simple as we thought and the estimate is more than $9000. We were heartbroken.

We do not have this kind of money and she is suffering.

Please help us give Stacie her smile back. I appreciate anything that you can offer, and I thank you for taking the time to read this.
