Blue's Surgery

Hello Everyone, 

As many of you know Blue is very important and special to our family. He is a loving and caring dog and brings such light to our home. Whoever knows him, knows how harmless and friendly he is. He is our first pet and it almost feels like he is our little baby.
At the beginning of the week, I brought him to the dog park as per usual, to play with his friends. Unfortunately, he swallowed a few pieces of rubber from the broken up toys on the floor, that had not been picked up from whoever left them there. On Thursday Night, he begun by vomiting his dinner and was not his usual self. Friday Morning, things got even worse, he threw up 2 more times, part of the swallowed rubber came out. We thought that he would be okay. Throughout the day, things got worse and he did not stop throwing up. He didn't want to eat and the bit of water he was drinking was coming out right away. The vet told us to take him to the animal emergency right away because he required immediate treatment. After multiple x-rays the doctors came to the conclusion that immediate surgery was required in order to save him. He was dehydrated and weak and the infection caused in his intestine due to the pieces needed to be taken out as soon as possible.
