Hello everyone,
As many of you may know, unfortunately on December 7th around 2:15pm, at our 12 weeks scan, our baby was diagnosed with Acrania exencephaly anencephaly.
Most people won't have heard of this condition as it is very uncommon. This condition means that although our baby has a perfect heartbeat, and is healthy in every other way, unfortunately the brain and skull just hasn't formed fully, leaving the parts of the brain that is formed, exposed.
This is a condition that is not compatible with life.
We decided as were given our bad news to terminate our pregnancy, as we feel continuing it wouldn't be fair on the baby, or us.
On Friday 11th December 2020, I will be admitted to hospital where I will be induced to labour and deliver our baby, and spend some time together to take photos and hand and footprints.
We will be having a cremation for our baby which will be funded by the hospital.
This go fund me is being set up as we would like to make the send off as beautiful as possible, and also donate money to some of the amazing charities that have supported us and gifted us some lovely items for myself and baby.
