Last Resort

My wife and I are both veterans and have tried to live the american dream by owning a home and raising a family.  Several years ago, my wife was diagnosed with a staff infection that affected both of her legs.  Since that time she has had multiple surgeries and is unable to work.  I have tried to maintained a steady income by returning to school and obtaining my masters degree but in December 2017, the place I was working closed their doors.  I spent over 20 years working in the educational field and even in today's job market, I have been unable to find enployment.  Our savings have been exhausted and we are on the verge of losing our car, home and everything that we have spent our life working for. We also are about to lose our health insurance at the end of this year and are unable to qualify for assistance from the state or federal government.  I am reaching out in an attempt to try to avoid being forced to live out on the streets.  I have avoided using this platform but I have have no other options at this time.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  My hope is that I can secure emploment and be able to help others in the future.
