Cancer Awareness, Dollar-for-Dollar Gift Challenge

We are excited to take on the Dollar-for-Dollar Gift Match Challenge for Breast and Pancreatic Awareness Months. It could not be a better time to take the next step in supporting a worthy cause with a monetary gift. Now thru November 30, an anonymous donor is pledging to match Dollar-for-Dollar up to $10,000 in donations to Talking Angels. Donations will assist in meeting our annual 1000 keepsake blanket donations to cancer survivors and those undergoing treatment. Talking Angels is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides keepsake blankets to those with chronic illnesses and undergoing medical treatment, i.e., chemotherapy. Since being founded in 2018, the organization has donated over 2800 blankets to organizations and individuals. In 2021, the organization began the PINK Ribbon Project. During October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, over 200 special edition blankets were donated to breast cancer survivors, those going through treatment or families of loved ones who did not win their courageous battle. In 2022 the PINK Ribbon Project continues with the addition of the TEAL Ribbon Project (ovarian cancer) and PEACH Ribbon Project (uterine and endometrial cancer) in September and the PURPLE Ribbon Project (pancreatic cancer) in November.
