Jimmy's Medical Fund

Jimmy Wilcoxson, his wife Leslie and their daughter Morgan had just started a long weekend vacation at Lake Eufaula OK  over 4th of July weekend last month.   The first day they were out in the water Jimmy jumped from a cliff into the lake and when he surfaced could not feel anything from his waist down.  He was medi-flighted to a hospital in Tulsa OK where they found that he had broken his back, tore his labrum and bicep in his arm when he hit the water.   The break caused damage to his spinal cord which has caused the paralysis from the waist down.  While in the Tulsa hospital the lack of care he received caused a blood clot in his leg that ran from his hip to his ankle and so much more.  Jimmy was in a hospital in Tulsa for 2 weeks before Leslie could get him moved closer to their home in Moore, OK.  He is now at Norman Regional Hospital Rehab facility where he is getting the care he needs.  As of today they found that he also broke his collar bone in the fall.     The doctors are very optimistic about his recovery and think that one day he will be able to walk.  That is all of our prayers.  In the meantime the medical bills are rolling in,  his medi-flight alone was over $50,000.  Before they will allow Jimmy to come home they will have to make their home handicap accessible, which is not covered by medical and is a big expense when you are talking about ramps and widening doors , etc.

Anyone who has every had the opportunity to know Jimmy knows that he is the most selfless person out there and   there is nothing he hasn't done or would do for anyone  of us with no questions asked.     Jimmy and Leslie have always taken great pride in being able to take care of themselves and help others with what they have been blessed with so this has been very difficult for them.  They want to thank everyone that has come to their aide through prayers, giving and kindness.
