Christmas party for the homeless
Over the past few months, the ‘Alittle somethin’ collective have been volunteering within Melbournes homeless and rough sleeping community, along with ‘From us 2 you Melbourne.’
We’ve been collecting donated items from friends, family, co-workers and generous others and distributing them to those in need, every second Sunday.
Things like:
• Clothing
• Blankets
• sleeping bags
• toiletries
• sanitary products
• Other necessities
During this time, we have made friendships and formed connections with many beautiful and inspiring people.
On December 16th, we’re bringing you ‘Alittle Somethin’… We will be working together with ‘From us 2 you Melbourne’ on hosting the 3rd annual Christmas party for over 100 rough sleepers.
As the festive season approaches, I’m sure we’re all looking forward to the warm fuzzy feeling that the Christmas spirit brings, whilst sharing the love with those closest to our hearts.
This Friday the 24th – 26th of November, Mitchell Cross and myself will be sleeping on the streets of the CBD with nothing but a backpack and a sleeping bag, along with other members of the homeless community to raise funds for the Christmas party this time next month.
Our friends within the Homeless community have created an awareness program called ‘Mrs Melbourne rough sleepers.’ They take members of the public on weekend tours to help them better understand the uncomfortable truths behind homelessness.
We eat where they eat, we sleep where they sleep and we live how they live.
We’ve been told to buckle up, as this is going to be one rough, raw experience.
We are kindly asking you for your assistance in whatever way that may be possible.
Whether it be a donation of money, a helping hand on the day or even sharing this post to spread the word.
The power of change is in the hands of each and every single one of us.
Let’s all help each other in making this Christmas a special one for everyone.
$1,500 will cover the cost of the Christmas party and put at least 100 smiles on the faces of the less fortunate. Thank you in advance you for all of your love and support.

- Hall hire.
- Food and special presents.
- storage.
- decorations.
