Thank you for visiting our page. I have set up this campaign on behalf of my sister-in-law Camilla to support her in her fight for her daughter's life as she battles brain cancer.
Camilla wanted to share the following information about what she and her daughter have been battling over the last two+ years:
Back in 2015, Alyssa seemed like a perfectly healthy little girl. She is a passionate lover of all animals, with cats and her pet dog being some of her favorites.
One night, Alyssa couldn't stop getting ill, so we rushed her to the hospital never expecting that our lives were about to be changed forever.
After extensive testing, Alyssa was diagnosed with an anaplastic ependymona brain tumor. Over the last two years, my strong and brave little girl has endured 5 brain surgeries, 6 weeks of radiation twice, chemo and immunotherapy.
Unfortunately, nothing so far has been able to stop the spread and growth of her tumors, and the doctors here in New York don't have anything else to offer her. Alyssa is a resiliant fighter and she wants to keep going, so we are preparing to join a clinical trial in Georgia to try and buy her some time.
We have been so deeply touched by the offers of help that have poured in to aid us with Alyssa's care and continued treatments.
