Hi, I'm Randall Bond, and if you're reading this, chances are you already know who I am. Let me get straight to the point:

My best friend of 25 years, David Scroggins, needs our help. If you don't know David, let me tell you about him. He’s been a pillar in the Topeka community—cooking for the Salvation Army, feeding countless kids, hosting events, catering, and performing both locally and nationally. He's active in his church and has been a regular performer on local stages for years.

But about nine years ago, after finishing a performance, David suddenly didn’t feel well and ended up in the ER. He was diagnosed with congestive heart and renal failure, and in the blink of an eye, his life was forever changed. We all thought he'd bounce back quickly and return to his work and stage, but that’s not how it turned out.

David faced a series of devastating setbacks. He permanently lost function in both kidneys, endured a failed transplant, and while recovering, complications from diabetes led to the loss of both legs.

But here's the incredible part: despite all of this, David has never given up. He’s been back on stage, performed in benefit concerts, and even written, produced, and performed special Easter programs. His resilience is unmatched.

Through all the hardship, David’s biggest fear has been being a burden to those he loves.

That’s where you come in. I’ve started this GoFundMe to help David get a handicapped accessible van—one that will allow him to drive, gain independence, and continue to live life on his terms. With your support (and a little help spreading the word), I know we can make this happen.
