Funeral Expenses For My Baby
Donation protected
Update: An estimated breakdown of how the money is spent will be included at the bottom. & I just want to thank the community from the bottom of my heart for the donations.
My name is Pamela Cook and I am Amber’s mother. Amber Faith Cook passed away Friday, April 5th, 2024 while out shopping for school clothes when she was in a car accident. Amber was an amazing child & was so excited for the future. She was about to graduate Alvin Community College with an Associates Degree in marketing and go on to University of Houston Clear Lake for a Bachelor. She completely funded her own college career through financial aid achieved by high grades and having worked at UPS.
She was a responsible person, an excellent student, and a caring, amazing daughter. She took on the responsibility of caring for her young siblings when growing up while I did my best to support us due to her father’s failing health and eventual lung transplant. Everyone who knew her loved her and will miss her. I will miss her.
Anyone who lives in the neighborhood will remember her swinging in the neighborhood park. She would swing every day after college. She said it was therapeutic. She has loved to swing since she was a baby.
The cost of laying her to rest even in a conservative way is enormous & I and my husband, Amber’s step father, are both taking time away from our work to lay our baby to rest. Her father is in bad health and is not able to work.
It just doesn’t seem real. There are times it seems like any minute she’s going to come bouncing through the door. And the next minute it hits me all at once. I don’t know how to end this description. I don’t know what to say. Nothing I can say will ever describe how much I love her and how much she will be missed.
Mortuary, funeral, & cemetery expenses: $14,000+
An engraved memorial bench at the park where she swung every day that will also have a plaque. $2,000
