Save Springfield's Christmas Parade
Donation protected
The Springfield, OR, annual Christmas parade is a long-standing and beloved tradition in the community that dates back to 1953. The children love it. The people love it. Many local organizations have produced the parade through the years. Currently, the Springfield Community Parade Corporation (SCPC) wall - formed in 2003 as a 501c4 organization, has staged the annual Springfield Christmas Parade, for the past 14 years. This year, they sadly cancelled the parade to the dismay of the children and other traditionalist members in the community of Springfield. The cancellation is reportedly due to a lack of volunteer support, and important permits and other essential support services were forfeited. This has impaired a holiday tradition fondly tied to the heritage of this community. We are a community-based group of people who cherish our traditions and want to save the parade for all of the people. We have the volunteer support necessary, and now we need the permits and other support services. We can do it with your help! Thank you for taking the time to read this and may you have the happiest of a holiday.
