Michelle's Road to Recovery

On December 14th, my sister and I brought our mom, Michelle, into the ER thinking she was fatigued and dehydrated as a result of her Crohn's Disease. Soon after, we found out our mom was in critical condition and was immediately sent, by ambulance, to the ICU in Fargo. She was in multiple organ failure due to septic shock from an infection. She was in kidney failure, her GI system shut down, and her heart was beginning to shut down. She is currently sedated, on a ventilator, and is receiving dialysis. We are told it could be a few months before she is able to come home.

Our mom's entire story can be read on http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/michelleraepeterson if you're interested in further details of her story.

Michelle recently lost her job, due to her Crohn's disease. She's been looking for a new job but has been unsuccessful in finding one that can accomodate to her and her Crohn's disease.  She currently is low on money as a result of losing her job. My sister and I are both in college and living off financial aid, so neither of us have the money to be able to pay for her finances including her medical and monthly bills.

We are unsure of how much money we will need to help our mom beings we do not know how long she will be in the hospital or how soon she'll be able to get back to searching for a new job. Every little bit helps and we appreciate it more than anyone could ever know. Thank you for reading our story about our mom, and thank you for your donation. God bless.
