#izaakstrong Unexpected ER surgery
Let’s help out during this difficult and completely unexpected hard time. Niki is and has been a full
time nurse, single mom, and very hard worker. Her son had what was thought to be a sinus infection. As you read below you can see it led to something much worse. No one plans for their young, and usually active
son, to have brainsurgery. This will be an especially trying time as she stays by his side instead of being able to work.He will need long term care and the
future isn’t fully known at this time. Thank you for any help and generosity.
Izaak is currently at Memorial having brain surgery. He has a collection of pus on his left frontal lobe causing pressure on his brain and it has already shifted 1 cm to the right from the pressure. Surgery will be a few hrs. PRAY!!
Izaak was take. to 3 different doctors this week. All 3 said it was VIRAL! ALL 3 WERE WRONG!!! ONE DR ACTUALLY TOLD ME HE COULD SCAN Izaak’s BRAIN BUT IT WOULDN'T SHOW ANYTHING!!! WELL SIR, YOU WERE WRONG!!! NOW HE IS HAVING EMERGENCY BRAIN SURGERY!!! STICK UP FOR WHAT YOU KNOW!! NIKI’S INTUITION TOLD HER THIS FROM THE START!!! A SINUS INFECTION CAUSED THIS!!

Izaak is out of surgery. Still under anesthesia and has a breathing tube. This is a long road still. Please continue to pray
Recent scans show he has a blood clot in a vessel near the site of infection on his brain. Currently still sedated and intubated until tomorrow are least.
Update... Izaak will have another procedure tomorrow at noon to clean his sinuses of the infection. Neurosurgeon says everything is going in the right direction. He was slowed off some of the sedation for a minute and was fighting still!
Update. EEG showed no seizures currently (he was seizing Friday night). Temp staying down between 98 and 100. Highest was 101.8 yesterday but down from the 102.5 we were at. He continues to fight and they increased his sedation to help that. Left brain continues to be swollen and the right side of the body is still not as active. Theres an area in the left front that is more inflamed and concerning. The vessel holding the clot is not serious, becomes more serious if clot moves to another area of the brain. Another long day ahead with the cleaning out of sinuses at noon.
**UPDATE***
Left side of his brain is really swollen today. Not moving the right side at all. Has tears when they wake him up but tries to open eyes and follow commands as best as he can. Knows dad and I. Touch and go, baby steps!! #IZAAKSTRONG #BEAST
