I’d like you to take a minute & get to know Brad Stilts. Brad is married to his wife of 33 years. He has 2 children, both married themselves, and between them is a grandfather to 5 awesome grandkids. This past year he became a great-grandfather! He is a son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Brad is on the far right in this picture, hanging on to Gage, one of his grandkids. To the left, is his wife. Along with all the kids, grandkids & the great- grandbaby! He has many people who love him & are on his team for better health!
Brad has a history of heart problems, and most recently has been diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer. He has a team of specialists working on a treatment plan for him. What lies ahead is unknown at this time. He faces surgeries & chemotherapy. And will have to fight to keep his strength up through all of this. His family will be by his side every step of his journey.
Brad can not work. His wife, Dee, is his caretaker. She is working when she can, but she needs to be with her husband. He has insurance, thank God, but it does not cover all his expenses. They are making decisions where they have to forgo medical related items due to expense.
I’m sure we can all agree, NO PERSON’S HEALTH SHOULD DEPEND ON THEIR FINANCES.
We’d like to ask your help in alleviating some of the stresses Brad & his wife are facing with this illness. We’d like them to be able to fill meds, and receive oxygen without worrying what bill they won’t pay in order to meet his medical needs. He needs to be able to eat healthy; his Dr’s are very concerned about his appetite & believe he will need nutritional supplements to keep his intake where it should be. Insurance will not cover the supplements for him. They are going back & forth to multiple Dr’s visits& tests each week, each time costing Dee time off work, gas to get back & forth. The expenses add up.
They are people who do not know how to ask for help, it is outside of their comfort zone. They are the ones who donate, not ask for donations.
