Caffe Frascati Stolen Sound System

Caffe Frascati is an Italian cafe in San Jose, California. In the 6 years since we opened, in addition to serving the best cappuccinos in the Bay Area, we have focused on being part of the community and supporting the arts. The cafe is now well known as a venue for local musicians, and we are happy to host a weekly open-mic night and regular performances by local bands, singer/songwriters and opera singers.

Earlier this year I was finally able to upgrade our primitive PA system and bought high end EV speakers, a Mackie mixer board and stand, a monitor speaker and new mics, mic stands and cables. I had to leave for a few weeks to spend time with my father who was very ill, and left everything still in its original boxes in the cafe basement storage area. When I returned everything had disappeared, most likely stolen by somone who had found our delivery door in the basement unlocked. (This is my theory and the only plausible explanation I can come up with.)

I filed a police report but they told me that they would not be able to spend any time on it. The total cost of the new equipment was $1,500, so that is what I am hoping to raise so I can replace everything and give our local performers a really nice sound system in return for all the support they have given us over the years.
