Help US Physics Team go to Thailand

We are Phoenixville Area High School -- a small public school in southeastern PA -- and that is literally what we are about to do. This summer, we will be THE ONLY students representing the United States at the prestigious International Young Physicists Tournament (IYPT) in Thailand, debating and competing with other students from thirty countries.
IYPT, also known as the 'Physics World Cup' has been bringing together high school students from around the world since 1988, to debate solutions to challenging physics problems with the goal of making discoveries that advance scientific understanding.
As you might imagine, the trip is expensive. We have already raised over $10,000, but we need to double that in order to make this journey a reality. Without additional funding, the United States will be unrepresented for the eighth year in a row. This is unacceptable to us, and we hope you feel the same!
To prepare, we have been working with professors at the University of the Sciences here in Philadelphia, and local mentors. We also went to the USAYPT, where a team of our first-year juniors finished 6th against some of the stiffest competition in the world. We defeated last year's runner-up and the 2013 championship team, which hails from China. This shows we have what it takes to stand with our international peers.
We want to compete with other aspiring young physicists and show the rest of the world what a small, public high school in America can do.
