Iyla Rae's Proper Goodbye

On Thursday, July 6, 2017 @ Southern Maryland Hospital Center IYLA RAE was born at 10:12 pm weighing 6lbs 12oz to Catori Doukas. Iyla Rae was the dream Catori had been preparing for the last 9 months. When Iyla Rae was born, she was absolutely perfect. No red flags except Iyla Rae had a bit of jaundice. They let Catori take her home on Saturday July 8th. It was the best night possible. Catori's dream came true that night. She was at home with her "baby girl" and this was the moment she has been dreaming about.

On Sunday evening July 9th something wasn't right. Mommy and Grandma Tina took Iyla Rae back to the ER and they flew her to Childrens Hospital in Washington, DC. After testing it was determined Iyla Rae had a metabolic disease that could not be currerd and her heart wasn't in good shape.

On Monday, July 10th Catori and Grandma Tina heard those words no parent ever wants to hear. There is nothing else we can do.

On Monday July 10th at 12:15pm (Uncle Jimmy's Birthday) Iyla Rae gained her wings and has gone to heaven to be Catori's guardian angle forever.

As you can imagine loosing a child only 3 1/2 Days old is not only heartbreaking but also a huge financial strain on the family to make sure Iyla Rae is remembered.
