Dr. Laurie's Mission Trip: Jamaica

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my story.  As many of you know, I am preparing to go on my first mission trip to Frome, Jamaica.  I have been sponsored by a church to go and to work with teachers of children with disabilities.  I will be working with them on the latest techniques and means of instructing students with disabilities without having to have a lot of technology.  This has always been a dream for me.
I have had to take the year off from my job to care for my parents.  My mother went home to be with the Lord in February and my dad continues to remain on hospice.  I have dedicated my life to his care which means I haven't been able to work.  My leave is without pay.  My trip to Jamaica has been funded by the church, but I am soliciting assistance for all the other things needed to go on the trip.  I have to present on several days which means I will need materials, clothing, etc.  Any little bit will help.  I am taking time to thank you in advance for any assistance you may be willing to give.  If you are unable to help financially, please say a prayer for me and for my family.  My son will be in charge of daddy and I pray that I can be a blessing to the lives of the faculty, staff, and students in Frome, Jamaica.
