My Twin Sister Lost an Ovary

Please may you consider giving monetary support to Madeline after she had emergency surgery to remove a tumor that had "taken over" her left ovary.
On Thursday, December 11th, Madeline collapsed on a sidewalk at a gas station due to a very sharp pain in her abdomen. At first we thought it was appendicitis, then nurses wondered if it was a kidney stone. Shockingly, neither was true, as the doctors told Madeline that she had a 9 inch (yes, 9 inches!) tumor growing on her left ovary and that her ovary needed to be removed along with the tumor immediately.
Doctors threw around words like "tumor," "mass," "scar," "disability," "possible fertility issues," which obviously added to Madeline's shock. She was most worried about the cost of it all and if she would be able to have a baby in the future.
Within two hours, her left ovary, fallopian tube and the giant tumor were removed successfully and we're still waiting on results from pathology to rule out cancer.
The $10,000 fund will be used towards:
- Madeline's medical expenses: insurance deductible, etc.
- living expenses as she is unable to return to work for 6 weeks (she does not qualify for medical leave from work as she was hired recently)
- travel accommodations: Madeline's Christmas wish is to be with our family in England for the holidays and to recoup under the care of our mum.
Helping Madeline with the cost of this traumatic event will not only help her recover faster as she will be less stressed, but also encourage Madeline that her friends and family are there for her, especially when she needs them the most.
