Yeni's Journey

Yeni is a young wife and mother of two beautiful children. In 2013 Yeni began having gastrointestinal discomfort. After visiting the doctor and going thru several diagnostic procedures, she was diagnosed with gastritis. Yeni continued to have abdominal discomfort, but was managing with the treatments. November 2014 on Thanksgiving day after several days of vomiting and unable to keep food down, Yeni declined. She was rushed to the hospital, and coded enroute. Yeni made it through. After many diagnostics she was found to have a malignant golf ball sized tumor in her bowels.
Yeni is unable to work to help her husband financially. With very little income and no insurance Yeni and her husband have been having financial difficulties brought about from all these medical expenses. Family has been supportive financially, but chemotherapy and eventual surgery are too much of a burden.

Yeni es una joven esposa y madre de dos bellos hijos. En 2013, Yeni empezo a tener malestares estomacales. Despues de varias visitas al medico fue diagnosticada con gastritis. Yeni continuo con malestares abdominales pero seguia con los tratamientos. En el Dia de Accion de Gracias 2014, despues de varios dias de vomitos y dolor, Yeni fue transladada al hospital de emergencia.  A Yeni le encontraron un tumor maligno del tamaño de una pelota de golf en el intestino.
Ahora Yeni no puede trabajar para ayudarle a su esposo con los gastos. Con muy pocos ingresos y sin aseguranza medica, Yeni y su esposo estan teniendo muchos problemas financieros por todos los gastos medicos. Sus familiares han ayudado, pero la quimoterapia y cirugia que Yeni necesitara para remover el tumor seran muy costosos.
