Help Ann Dignan Fight Breast Cancer

We are reaching out to share the opportunity to support Ann Dignan, R.N., C.N.M., F.N.P., owner of Hill Country Midwifery in Blanco Texas. Ann is currently undergoing chemotherapy for stage 2 breast cancer, and is moving through this process with her signature graceful, matter-or-fact way. She has many fine friends, neighbors, and family members who are helping with day to day farm chores and meal-making.
Our wish for her is the chance to take some days off work during late December and January, and into February, as she completes her final 3 chemotherapy sessions. This is challenging to her, as she relies on the paychecks from her work at the doctor's office. Our donations would give her the chance to rest and recuperate without worrying about her living expenses, plus she could limit her immune system's exposure to sick patients during that essential time of healing for herself.
Those of us who know Ann are very aware that her career over the last five decades has been one of service..(with plenty of 3-in-the-morning calls!) We have witnessed her unfailing dedication to her clients. She delivered over 1300 babies over 52 years, giving each mother and baby thorough care for their physical, mental, and emotional needs. She is truly a rare treasure and gift to our hill country community. She is also, as we know, humble--and often underpaid--thus the need to ask friends to give back to her at this crucial time in her life. Please share this with any person you can think of who may wish to assist. Funds collected will go to her living expenses, and beyond that, medical expenses that she may appreciate help with beyond her insurance coverage.
