Benjamin Hummel Memorial Fund

Benjamin J. Hummel, 33 of Dale City, Virginia, tragically lost his life when his plane went down  in a remote area of Catlett, Virginia on December 14, 2014. He is survived by his wife Bonita and young son Landon. Ben was a husband, father, son, brother and loyal friend to everyone.  His passions included Aviation and Scouting but he especially loved spending time with his wife and son.  Once Ben was your friend, he was a friend for life.  At the age of 13, Ben was a double lung transplant recipient and very recently received a kidney transplant, but his health challenges did not stop him. There was never a challenge that Ben didn't take head on. "Let's do it" was his catch phrase and Ben never took no for an answer.  He was always generous with his time and was a leading force as the Assistant Cubmaster of Cub Scout Pack 1373 in his community of Dale City.  This Go Fund Me page has been created to assist his wife Bonita with any financial needs or hardships she may encounter from this tragic loss of her husband. It may also be used towards her young son's future educational needs. Please find it in your heart to contribute what you can. Ben gave so much to his community and we appreciate his contributions. The Hummel Family has touched many lives in our community and we'd like to pay it forward by helping this family in their time of need.
