Ivy Lee : Princess Warrior

I was mid Home birth (My fourth!), was 8CM dilated when the baby flipped. I thought Ivy just moved her position, but we quickly realized she was suddenly breech. I was rushed to the hospital where I had an emergency C-Section. Our daughter who was kicking the doctor as he cut into me, was born  lifeless. She was ghostly white. Ian and I sat stunned, praying, Ian was chanting "Breathe baby, Breathe" as they did CPR and intubated her. Ian was escorted out because he was fixing to pass out, I was sedated because I became hysterical.  It lasted forever in my mind before they got a response. Our daughter Ivy Lee was then stabilized and rushed to John's Hopkins All Children's Hospital. She was put on a cooling blanket for 4 days to help combat brain injury&  rewarmed on July 4th. She's had a breathing tube 2x and is currently on a CPAP to help maintain her airway. She has no gag reflex and a floppy airway. She has had 2 collapsed lungs. She has had many seizures and is on meds helping and hoping to control them. Most recent MRI Shows Hypoxia & Ischemia, which doesn't say a whole lot that we didn't already know, she was some how  deprived of oxygen and blood at some point before or during delivery.  I did EVERYTHING right during my pregnancy! I practiced breathing and did pelvic rocks to ger her where she needed to be. I went to the Chiropractor often to keep my body aligned. I ate well and took all my vitamins. I always had a bottle of water at my side to keep hydrated. We just don't understand how we ended up in this situation.  In fact the doctor himself said he is "perplexed" because he felt her kicking as he made the first cut! Her cord blood was tested and the oxygen level was perfect, no anomalies in her placenta - nothing - no explanation :/ We are hopeful for her future as we BELIEVE that God CAN move mountains and will help Ivy heal.  Ivy has fought HARD to get to where she is today at 12 days old, but still has a LONG hard road ahead of her.  We were told to expect MANY bills, equipment and meds that will not be covered by insurance so we have set up this account to help us be sure Ivy never goes without ANY medical necessity. It will also help cover the costs of the everyday driving back and forth to the hospital and for eventual doctors visits.
