Paving the road to Harvard is a daunting task but Makiah Bracey is up for the challenge!
Makiah set her sights on becoming a Neruosurgeon in elementary school and has not stopped! Her thirst for knowledge continues to grow as she continues to build her foundation.
Makiah has been identified as Gifted and Talented and lives up to the label. In elementary school, as a Quest student, Makiah won Best Overall Project in the Chemistry Division at the USC Science and Engineering Fair.
This 15 year old AP Scholar is number 8 of 13 children. She is a Teen in Action with her church Word Alive Worship Center And loves to serve in the community. When she isn’t hitting the books, Makiah is hitting her opponents on the mat. This multi-Talented bookworm has a Black belt in Tae Kwon Do with 5 AAU National Titles as well as a USAT National Title.
Makiah has been selected to represent her high school for the National Student Leadership Conference studying Psychology and Neruo-Science at Harvard Medical School in Boston. Coming from such a large family this will be financially challenging.
Please help us get her to this Leadership Conference as she embarks on the next level in her education.
