Help Steve Recover!

On December 11th, Steve Kopetzky fell from the top of a grain bin and suffered a burst fracture in his spine. After a successful but difficult surgery to repair and stabilize his spine, he is just starting on the road to recovery. Every sign points to a full recovery with Steve walking and working again but it will undoubtedly be a long and difficult road. After recovering from the surgery Steve will need an unknown amount of in-hospital intense physical therapy. Due to this being a recent accident, the details of his recovery plan are still being determined and we will keep everyone updated. 

The Kopetzky's have insurance but we all know that it doesn't cover everything and expenses can add up fast. All donations will be used to help cover deductibles, travel and hotel costs for Sara and his two girls to and from Denver (73 miles one way) and anything else that insurance won't fully cover (additional physical therapy etc). 

Steve is well known to the Wiggins community as an Emergency Medical Technician, Volunteer Firefighter, Farmer, Woodworker, Agronomist, Cancer Survivor, Toys for Tigers and Church Volunteer, Loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle and Friend. His kindheartedness and compassion shows in everything he does. 

Any donation can and will help Steve, Sara and the girls in this recovery. The sooner we get Steve back on his the feet the sooner he can continue to serve his community. This fundraiser was created by Dan and Julie Tripp (Sara's brother and his wife). For administrative purposes, Go Fund Me receives about 8% of each donation; all of the rest will go directly to Steve's recovery.
