About Courtney and Erik
Courtney is 31, and is an only child. She has been employed by the Santa Cruz Seaside Company for 5 years.
Erik is 37, and has 2 siblings. He is currently employed with Awe Sum Organics.
2001- Courtney had a crush on Erik, he was the drummer in a band
playing at Salinas High when she was a freshman.
2004- Courtney & Erik became friends.
2011- Their first kiss.
July 2013- Engaged!
Dec 2013- Married
2014- Started trying to have a baby
2015- Started fertility treatments
2016- Miscarriage
Courtney and Erik live in Capitola with their 4-legged children, Peanut, their Chihuahua mix rescue dog and their 3 cats, Spooky, Tippy, and Luna, their foster kitten.
The missing piece to this sweet family is a child to love.
Courtney has been struggling with infertility problems for a several years now. Her journey has been heartbreaking for us all. Her doctor has now recommended that she start the in vitro fertilization process and we are excited to hope for success, however, it is extremely expensive, and it is not covered by their insurance.
The approximate cost of IVF treatment including medication is approximately $20,000.00. I am hoping to help them raise the funds needed for their IVF treatment so that they won't have to go in to debt before the baby even gets here. The day to day cost of children is expensive enough without the added cost of IVF.
I know that everyone can not donate monetarily, but we will take donations in the form of prayer and positive vibes as well. We have decided to use GoFundMe as our platform for donations due to the ease and safety of the program, however, they do charge a fee.
(5% GoFundMe platform) + (2.9% + 0.30 payment processing) = 7.9%+ $0.30 per donation. If you would like to donate through another avenue to prevent the fee being taken out we will update the total amount as such donations come in through Pay Pal or offline donations.
