Our battle to bring home baby Kovacic
Donation protected
11 years ago the stars aligned and god put us in each other's paths. Back then we were just two kids with big dreams of taking on the world. 7 years ago we vowed to take on the world as one, always and forever. For better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health. In our 7 years of marriage, we have had to fight some pretty scary battles that tested every one of those vows. Each time we came out as winners because we fought them together and never gave up.
Some of you know this and most of you do not, we have been fighting an uphill battle trying to grow our family. Conceiving our child has been the hardest battle we have ever had to take on. All our babies went to heaven instead of being in our arms, or in our home. We finally turned to IVF this last November. Which is very draining mentally, physically, and financially. We went in very optimistic that this would finally give us the baby that we have dreamed of, prayed for, and downright begged for the last 7 years. But we were wrong, the cycle ended in the loss of our twins. We had to send 2 more babies up to heaven once again. All the money, all the shots, and all bruises were for nothing. Each round will improve our chances because they will be able to adjust my meds, which is why we are willing to go through it all again.
Our doctors told us each embryo had a 50/50 chance, so we thought by putting 2 in my belly we would at least get to keep one of them. Never for a moment did we think we would lose them both. But we did and it left a wound that will never heal.
Since my last update we have been quietly continuing to battle. We did a second round of IVF and total of 4 transfers which all led us to losing 6 embabies. We didn't expect that at all. Because of this our doctor's decided to take a closer look. Turns out all the pain I have been experiencing for years had a reason. I recently had surgery and was diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis. It was all over my bladder, stomach, and in front of my uterus. My left tube was blocked, right tube was also blocked by a tubal cyst. All of these were safely removed and both my tubes opened. So let the healing begin! Next step is to do another round of of IVF and bring baby Kovacic home.
If you are able to donate we promise we will appreciate every dollar more than anything, but if you are unable we completely understand. So instead we ask you share our story, send some positive vibes or prayers our way because we will take all the help we can get.
Love the Kovacic's
