Hi everyone,
I'm Ledon. I'm 29 and I'm a hairstylist. I love to bake and do crafts. I'm obsessed with my two cats Pepperoni and Cinnamon. Trevor is 32 and was a paramedic before working at Metrobus. He loves video games and anything nerdy. He's also in the upcoming Merb'y calendar that is raising money for our local Planned Parenthood.
We started dating 11 years ago. On our second date we talked about having kids. What was the point of going on a third date if kids weren't in his future plans. It's something we've both always known that we wanted. Fast forward to 3 years ago. We decided it was time to start really trying and stop waiting to see if it would happen on it's own. We thought it would be easy. That you track for a month or two and then a baby would just happen. It didn't seem to happen that way for us.
Since seeking medical help, we've tried everything in our power. 2 surgeries, Too many ultrasounds, 7 IUIs, 2 years of medications, more doctors appointments than I ever wanted to go to. Even more pregnancy tests. All for a chance at creating our family. Every pill. Every needle. Every appointment. We finally were able to conceive in February 2019, only to have our hearts shattered after just over 9 weeks pregnant. We lost our baby that we so deeply loved. Since then we've lost another baby way too soon and have tried 2 more unsuccessful IUI treatments. Our next step is IVF. A medical treatment that is not covered under our healthcare and not available in our province. The cost is around $20,000 plus travel - an enormous amount of money that we simply don't have.
Please help us try to raise the money that we need to do everything in our power to start a family.
