IVF for Katelynn & Michael Hergott

Donation protected

My name is Bethany Priest. My cousin, Katelynn Hergott, recently gave birth to her first child, Easton, on May 23, 2017. She and her husband Michael were overjoyed to welcome him into the world. They are destined to be amazing parents.

Sadly, within the first days of Easton's life, his doctors, nurses, and family learned that he had a genetic disorder called "nonketotic hyperglycinemia," a condition which rendered his body unable to process the amino acid glycine -- essential to life. It occurs in roughly one in 60,000 pregnancies. Katelynn, Michael, and their families gave as much love to Easton in his short life as was possible. He breathed his last breath on June 17, 2017.

Any child concieved naturally by the couple would have a roughly 1 in 4 chance of having the same genetic condition as Easton.

With the help of genetic screening, their next child can avoid this dreadful disease. We can help them with the expenses of these procedures.
