IVF for Camille and Josh Jeter

Donation protected
Hello! My name is Lucas Jeter, and I am Josh’s little brother and Camille’s brother-in-law. I would like to start by thanking everyone who has taken the time to visit this page to read Josh and Camille’s story.

Josh and Camille got married on June 8, 2013. They both love children, but they decided to take a little time to enjoy each other after marriage before trying to have kids of their own. In April of 2015, Camille found out she was pregnant for the first time, and they couldn’t wait to tell all of our family about it. I can still remember hearing the excitement in their voices when they called to tell me. We were all so happy for them. Unfortunately, just a few short weeks later, they found out that Camille had a miscarriage. They were devastated but determined to keep trying.

The road from then to now has been a hard one for both of them. Since then, they have had two more miscarriages in March of 2017 and just a few weeks ago in March of 2018 which were both the result of ectopic pregnancies, or pregnancies that occur when the egg is fertilized outside of the uterus. Each failed attempt has been more heartbreaking than the last, but they haven’t given up on their dream of having children of their own.

For anyone that doesn’t know Josh and Camille, they absolutely love children. It is hard to put into words, but you can visibly see them light up when they are around nieces and nephews or their friends’ kids. And kids love them too! All their friends’ kids love when “Aunt Camille and Uncle Josh” come over to play. You can’t help but smile when you see both of them interact with kids and how much love they have for children. It breaks my heart knowing how much they want children of their own and how difficult this process has been on them.

After more than $3,000 in failed fertility treatments, their doctors recently told them that the only option for them to have children is through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). For those of you that may not be familiar with IVF, the process is expensive and is not covered by insurance. The costs per round of IVF are $10,000 for basic IVF, $1,500 for diagnostics, and $500 for the initial consultation, plus additional costs for bloodwork, additional doctor visits, etc. In total, each round of IVF will cost more than $12,000 with no guarantee of success.

Initially they were hesitant about allowing me to start this page for them, but I was able to convince them that it isn’t a bad thing but, rather, provides an opportunity for friends and family to bless them. Those of you that know Josh and Camille can attest to the fact that they both would go out of their way to help a friend or family member in need without a second thought. Now is our opportunity to return the favor!

No matter what amount you can give, everything helps. If you can’t give financially right now, you can still help through sharing this page with family and friends through social media or email and through PRAYER. Every additional person that sees this page is an extra opportunity for prayers and donations. We believe in the power of prayer and God’s ability to perform miracles, which is what the creation of life is!

Thank you for taking the time to read this page, donate, pray, and support Josh and Camille! It means the world to all of us!

 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 NIV

3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any troubles with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.

Phillippians 4:6-7 NIV

6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

**As a quick disclaimer, GOFUNDME does have some fees associated with donations. They recently removed their 5% platform fee for personal campaigns but will still request a donation from donors to help fund their website and customer service support. Currently, the only mandatory fees are 2.9% + $0.30 per donation for payment processing. If you would like to donate through any other means (cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, etc.) feel free to reach out to Josh, Camille, or me. Thanks again!
