We all have that "one thing" in our lives that drive us. It's an intangible feeling that gets us out of bed each day. Call it passion, call it drive, call it what you will but it's an itch that never goes away. In my friend Nicolette's case, it's music. Besides her husband Trevor and her dogs, music is her everything.
Recently, Nicolette had the misfortune of having her SECOND automobile stolen along with some other personal items that are difficult, if not impossible, to replace. One such item is her 1965 Farfisa Compact Combo Organ. I happen to know how much this instrument means to her because I spent many years in American Werewolves, the band Nicolette writes and plays in. That organ means the world to her and certainly puts a damper on her creative process and outlets.
There is a feeling of helplessness and violation that comes with something of this nature which is why I felt compelled to step in and see if we can all band together (no pun intended) and help Nicolette get another Farfisa organ. I know that this time of year is a very difficult time of year to ask for help or money. If you can give anything, please do. If you are unable to give then please pass this on to anyone you know. Social media is a very powerful tool so adding/sharing this to your wall would be so greatly appreciated.
I don't have anything to gain from this outside of helping a friend in a time of need. I wasn't put up to this; in fact I haven't even mentioned that I am doing this. It just seems like the right thing to do!
