I've Been Through A Lot, Now My Eye

Hi, my name is Illy and I was discovered when I was just a few hours old inside the compost bin of a community garden. I didn’t know where I was. I didn’t know what was going on, but I was warm. Someone noticed me in there and saw my mom on the border of the garden, watching. They weren’t sure what to do with me, so someone placed me in a little towel in a plastic bag and tied it to the lid of the compost bin then sat a bowl of cat food on top. I’m pretty sure they were trying to entice my mom back as she was pretty skittish and frightened of the people milling about. But it didn’t work. Soon I was on my way to Pet Patrol and was given to a nursing mama cat who took me in willingly. I grew up just fine in the foster home and then one day I got a bit of an eye infection. It happens sometimes, and the medication was working. But then I decided to wrestle with my foster brothers. A lot. And roughly. My bad eye got scratched and just got worse and worse. I have been back-and-forth to the vet several times and now they’re saying it must be removed. That’s right, they must take out my eye because it has been damaged so badly that it cannot be salvaged. I am in a lot of discomfort. It’s hurting, but I’m a brave boy and I’m willing to get whatever the vet feels needs to be done. However, the cost! It is kitten season and Pet Patrol is not funded in any way, and so I’m wondering if you would be able to donate towards my surgery. I’ve been through a lot, and I just want to be a happy healthy kitten again. I will not have any problems living with one eye. I’ve already adapted pretty well. But I need the surgery sooner than later. Are you able to help?
