Phoenix Fund (post-fire support)

The evening of Wednesday, December 10, 2014, my mother's apartment burned, and everything she had, was lost in the fire. As she was in the kitchen cooking, and my younger sister was watching TV in the living room, they heard a pop, and smelled an odor that resembled burning plastic. After assessing, and trying to locate the source, my mother saw flames through the crack of the closet door. They grabbed their coats, purse, and keys, ran down the hallway to alert other tenants, and vacated the building. Within moments, their apartment, and dozens others, were up in flames.
Both my mom and sister are alive and well, but EVERYTHING they had (clothes, medication, family photos...) is gone.
My mother, being the true warrior she is, was back at work, as a nurse, within days. Armed with strength and perseverance, she faces every obstacle with grace, and would never ask for help. So, I am doing it for her. This is a fund to help rebuild their lives. Any and all support is greatly appreciated.
