Support Jack

This is a fundraiser for our very good friends Amy and Whit to help with their son Jack who was diagnosed with Leukemia on Monday December 8th.   To give you a little background, up until December 8th Jack was a healthy and very active 11 year old boy.  The weekend prior he was not feeling well,  he had a stomach ache, was pale and lethargic. While his Dad was checking on him he found a lump on his temple. They took him to his Pediatrician the next day (Monday) and were told they should take him to Boston Children’s Hospital.  They left Hampton for Boston and Jack has not been home since.  After a  blood test the ER doctor said the following terrible words… “Jack has Leukemia”.   Words cannot describe how Amy and Whit must have felt upon hearing that awful diagnosis. 

 

Jack has started Chemo and will be in the hospital for as long as six months. This will require many trips back and forth from Hampton to Boston as well as missed work for Amy and Whit and I am sure many unforeseen expenses. Your donation will help relieve some of the financial burden and help remove a little bit of stress  from their lives as they go through this most challenging time.

 

For those of you who know Jack, you know that is he a sweet, caring and fun loving boy.  The next few months are going to be tough for him. Please keep him and Whit, Amy and his brother Edgar and his sister Abby in your prayers.   The Hansen family is very near and dear to our hearts.  They are a wonderful family that could use all of our support right now.
