Priscilla is determined and motivated to become the First African-American Professional Triathlete, but she needs the help of friends, family & kind strangers to get there! Priscilla was raised by deaf parents, served 10 years as an Army Veteran, volunteer licensed counselor/mentor, is a mother of three (14, 12, and 6 years of age), wife of 16 years to a full-time Firefighter & Air Guardsman/Army Veteran, and daughter-in-law to a retired cop/Navy and Army Veteran. Priscilla is also firm in her faith as a Christian and gives God all the glory for her God-given abilities. She is the type of woman, little girls and boys can call their role model.
Anyone who knows anything about the sport of triathlon knows it's not cheap and can be extremely costly. Travel, sports gear, bike & bike services, coaching, and nutrition contribute to ongoing expenses. Priscilla’s husband is funding everything and as you may already know, firefighters don't make a lot of money, and Priscilla gives most of her time to raising kids, various part-time jobs to be able to give her time to volunteer counseling/mentorship programs (HUGS Savannah, Girls on the Run, Coaching, PTA, School Council, etc.) and tri-training. Anything given is greatly appreciated. The financial goal is a ballpark figure that would help in this ongoing goal. The money raised, will be used for triathlon race fees, travel, equipment maintenance, and training coaching fees.
