It's All About The Love - Song

MY STORY 

As a same sex attracted person, I was very moved by the extremely sad events of the Orlando massacre and I made a decision to release a song that I wrote 7 years previously,  when I was facing a life threatening operation (for full story watch the video attached).

This song is about love and acceptance - no matter what form, both external love and acceptance, and, internal self-love and acceptance. 

I live in Melbourne (Australia) and love to go to gay venues, like the one in Orlando. This is often a place to feel accepted and loved by the community.

Despite not being a singer, or a muscian, I wanted to do what I could to help raise awareness and funds for Orlando survivors and families and for the queer community, as well as to promote acceptance and equity in all people, no matter who they love. 

Fast track one year...

I have been working on this song for 12 months. I have spent over $1.5k of my own money and spent hundreds of hours work on it, collaborating and learning skills. I never realised just how difficult it is to put a song together. 

It is 12 months to the day of the Orlando massacre today (12th June 2017).

I wanted to release the song by this date, to keep this topic and sad events from not being forgotton.

I am releasing the best version I have. It wil be available on the links page or on the main sites. I am running this campaign to find a producer to record the song in it's full glory complete with sexy, cool, empowering film clip. 

HOW YOU CAN HELP?

I decided to release the song, as I believe that if everyone does something small that is positive that over time, positive change is inevitable.

In line with this, if each person could donate the cost of something they normally have, such as a coffee ($5) or a cocktail ($15) or softdrink ($3) or a slab ($50) or a home party ($200) and put it towards this cause, I would really appreciate it. I hope thid project will be contribute to making the world a better place for all to live in. 

After all, we are all alive, we can do something small everyday to make the world a better place.

HOW WILL I USE THE MONEY?

With the money I will professionally re-produce the song and the film clip, and sell it on i-tunes. All the proceed with then go to the Orlando massacre fund (to benefit victim/families of victims) as well as local queer/equal rights charities inline with the song. 

I expect professional production will cost approximately 5k and 5k for the film clip. I would love for this to fully represent the queer community in a very beautiful way.  Any extra money will allow for more production costs and any excess with go towards the charities above.
