It's time for us to Help Nancy
Nancy Hume is the radiant 87 year old woman you see in the video above. In the picture below she is with her 62 year old son, Chris. Nancy raised her two children as a single mom, and due to Chris’s special needs he is still under her care today.
Nancy has spent her entire life giving to others. She is now being threatened with eviction from her subsidized one bedroom apartment because the board will not allow her son to live with her, and there is not a public assistance solution that meets their joint needs.
She needs to find new housing immediately for herself and her son and does not have the financial means to do so. Nancy is currently surviving on very limited social security benefits. The financial strain is very real. NOBODY should have to experience this kind of stress at 87.
It is Nancy's unshakable faith in God that powers her through each day. One of the most remarkable things about Nancy is her unwavering commitment to uplift, no matter what her situation is. Her steady presence is a profound gift that she shares with everyone she meets - from all walks of life. There isn’t a soul that comes into Nancy’s sphere who leaves without a blessing. She has spent much of the past 87 years collecting and sharing wisdom, and sprinkling seeds of goodness and love into her community.
Let’s show Nancy that the Universe always takes care of those who take care of others.

Chris had been living in an ill-run group home which became a hazard during Covid, and was eventually shut down. Although this was quite stressful, Nancy continued with her mantra “Only good will come of this,” and in many ways that holds true.
Since Nancy has taken over Chris’s care he has made tremendous progress. With the help of several healthcare practitioners, there is a new protocol for Chris’s treatment with Functional Medicine. Nancy administers all levels of this new regimen which includes a very strict and healthy diet (3 meals per day), supplements, time in the elements, sleep routine, positive healing affirmations and more. If Chris were to go back into the government system, all of the progress he has made would be in jeopardy. Chris’s minimal disability benefits do not cover his current medical treatment or the cost of housing.
Nancy has invested much of her time and energy learning about wellness practices throughout her adult life. She is a reflexologist and yoga teacher, and has healed her own body and helped countless others heal where traditional medicine could not. Her commitment to and faith in the body’s ability to heal itself is driving Nancy’s mission to keep Chris on track with his current healing practices. Government programs are not yet on board with this type of healing and that system did not serve him well. He is shifting from flat and despondent to more and more engaged and thriving with his new regimen. With our support Nancy can continue with her own wellness practices in a secure living situation, as well as, continuing to build the scaffolding to support Chris’s wellness long after she is gone.
