<div>Hi, my name is Candace and I was once homeless in Saskatoon at 13 years old and lived on the streets till I was 15 when I found out I could put myself into foster care. I spent cold winter nights under the staircase of apartment buildings to stay warm and it kept me out of view by people walking by at the lowest staircase. By the grace of God, I'm still alive. God put it on my heart many years ago to start a non-profit for to help people that are homeless and at risk of homelessness and I am finally doing it. I need your help though. This is a big task and it will take a lot of funds to start. The plan is to start a community for homeless people on an acreage a decent distance outside of Saskatoon (so they will have to think about how long the walk is, if they want to come back to the city). I know a lot of people do not want homeless people on our streets for various reasons. I don't because I know what it's like. There are many factors that keep people on the streets, such as they've lived on the street their whole life and they don't have ID or know how to get ID, they don't know how to read (you'd be surprised how many), they are addicted to drugs or alcohol and much more.

</div>
<div>Our mission is to eventually eliminate homelessness from Saskatoon and area and provide our business plan to the world. Our plan is to offer programs to the homeless and at risk of homelessness that will eventually help reintegrate them back into our society and give them their dignity back by offering them jobs, training, and the life skills they need to be successful in our society.

<li>Right now, there is no such program in Saskatchewan. Our first goal is to raise enough money to get a piece of land that we can start our programs. We hope to get property with existing structures so we can utilize what is already there. The faster we get the funds, the faster we can get people off of these cold streets. People have died in the winter months freezing to death. That saddens me and I'd love to get this thing started before winter hits. We've been blessed the last few years with warmer weather till January; thank the Lord Jesus for that! If you'd like to help us get up and running with donations or your time, please contact us through Facebook, our website, or see us in person at our next event (below are the links). No donation or volunteer position is too small. Anything will help. Please consider donating to our cause by clicking the "donate now" button on our gofundme page.
