It's a Military Life Nonprofit Startup Costs

It's a Military Life is a military spouse and veteran network that advances resiliency, promotes community involvement, and forges meaningful relationships. Through networking and educational opportunities It's a Military Life(IML) provides support, resources and community to veterans and military families .  It's a Military Life is currently fundraising to cover the startup costs associated with forming a nonprofit organization. IML has served the military community through several events and programs since 2019  including partnering with numerous organizations and businesses in an effort to support all facets of the military community. Some of the organizations IML has partnered with include Sesame Street for Military Families, Meals on Wheels San Antonio, Military Marriage Day, Letters to Soldiers Club, Veteran's Last Patrol, Stars & Stripes Magazine, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and the United Services Organizations (USO).

It's a Military Life's current programs include:

It’s a Military Outreach Life: provides opportunities for participants to engage in outreach programs that promote volunteerism and c  ommunity involvement
It’s a Military Connection: provides instruction and professional development for military spouses by offering a cohort immersion program 
It’s a Military Child Life: provides support for military children and families by promoting resources and tools that increase positive engagement in the military community and knowledge of how to successfully navigate the military lifestyle as community members, spouses, children, and family members

It's a Military Life's biggest program, Veteran Pen Pal Project, has mobilized over 200 volunteers to send uplifting letters and cards to veterans residing in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. IML has partnered with over 10 veteran facilities across the country to bring the letter-writing campaign to their residents. Veteran Pen Pal Project aims to bring joy and comfort to our nation's heroes by forming meaningful relationships between Veterans and their Pen Pals.
