It’s a Long Way Home for Gian Carlo

Donation protected
My son, Gian Carlo was managing an Advertising Company when his illness struck him. He was a vibrant 39 years old, very artistic and hard working dad of 2 boys. Asher, 3 Yrs old and Ashton, 9 mos.

Last October 19, 2017 he was rushed to the Emergency Room and suffered multiple infarcts in his innermost and most sensitive part of his brain that caused him unconscious. He has been in coma, since.

His illness was very rare according to the doctors. Dr Dasig, the lead neurologist said he’s too young to have this kind of illness. He was in the Intensive Care Unit for almost a month. He was in critical condition. Thank God for the wisdom of the doctors and my son’s life was spared.

Now that he is being nursed at home, it’s still is a very long way home for my son and the family. No one knows when he’s going to wake up. Doctors said it can take 6 months, or a year.. or this may be it.

On his first week in the hospital, his both eyes were totally shut showing no life. Second week, his right eyelid was moving until it opened on the following week. Then the left eye opened halfway after a month. Now, he looks pretty good!

It’s been more than a year and he’s been really doing well. He’s been showing signs of waking up, like yawning a lot, sneezing and he moves his head and arms when someone touches him. He’s been getting more sensitive.

As his mom, these are all a miracle happening from where he was on day one. He was literally lifeless. I know in my heart that he is waking up soon.!

We are reaching out to anyone who has a big heart to help my son on his battle to come back to his normal life.. He needs a lot of financial support. It is really a very long way home for my only child.

I thought our hospital bills were enormous but little did I know that the after-hospital-care is so much more. His daily medication, nursing care, his special liquified food, (he’s being fed through the stomach) and his daily clinical supplies has been very expensive.

It’s been more than a year now.. and his 2 boys are growing fast. Your donations will help these 2 boys as well. His eldest, Asher will be 4 by next school year. It is also sad that he has not seen his youngest and has not seen them both, grow. They both haven’t felt the Love and Hugs of a Dad..
