"Allegro" Short Film

Logline “A young dancer has to choose between her career and her love life.”

As a senior at Ithaca College, George Pavlidis is a student that has had tremendous involvement and experience in his production ventures throughout his years in the Cinema and Photo program at IC. With over 40 projects to his name at IC, he has established himself as a prominent figure in the community. Previous works are available to view on his website at www.georgepav.com. His current, and his last film at Ithaca College in which he will direct, follows a young dancer named Alena, as she navigates her career based life while also trying to have a relationship.

Director’s Note:

“It’s a very personal story to me, tackling a subject I’m still trying to figure out myself, and through the screenwriting process has actually taught me a lot about who I am. Having come from a musical theater background, I was always keen to make a film where dance was involved. My hope with this film is that people from all walks of life resonate with the struggle of having to choose life or love.”
