Baby Mathew and parents need your help!

Our sweet little Matthew was born on September 26 2014 at 38 weeks with inexplicable issues. He was unable to breathe on his own and had severe muscle contractures . There had been no complications during pregnancy so this was as much of a surprise to the doctors as it was to mom and dad . He was immediately admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit at Saint Rose Dominican Hospital Siena campus where he remains in their care.
The doctors currently do not have a diagnosis for Matthew but after multiple blood tests and a muscle biopsy they believe he has some form of neurological muscular disorder, most likely some form of muscular dystrophy or atrophy. It may be a lengthy process to figure out exactly what the issue is. Until they have a diagnosis we do not know the extent of the issues he will face as he grows.
Matthew is currently on a ventilator to help him breathe and has had surgery to put a gastrotomy tube in place for feeding. After several set backs including surgery for a herniated bowel; things are going very slowly. We wait patiently for the time they get to bring him home.
No matter the issues they may face or what the future holds, we truly believe Matthew is a gift from God. They are blessed to be his parents. Through him they have already learned so much. He is a unique and very special little boy and we love him so much.
So please help me to raise money for Mathew for his expensive and extensive medical expenses.
Thank you and may may God bless you!
