Well my mom and I are headed off to "jail" again and are going to be looking for help raising our bail money so we can get out of this place. This year our combined bail has been set at $7000 so its pretty much going to take a miracle to get us out...
Our "bail" money will go back 100% to AZK9 Rescue and will allow them to keep up all the work they do for the animals and our community.
For those who may not know AZK9 is a 501(c)3 non-profit dog rescue based out of the Peoria/Phoenix area. The money raised from this fundraiser will all go back to the dogs in the rescue and the dogs in the community that they help at thier spay and neuter clinics. At AZK9 we care for about 45 dogs who are all looking for their furever homes so the money will go back to their care through food, treats, toys and most importantly vet care. We always tend to have a running bill at our vets so it would be amazing to pay them off and have some left over for the dogs that will be going in over the next few months. Not only will the funds help AZK9 with the care of their current animals but it will also provide much needed help right here in our community. Most of you know that we partner with Maricopa County, AZ Pet Project, Dr. Kelly's Mobile and Purrfurred Pets to provide free spay and neuter services to low income communities and we have done this now for over 7 years. Something we also provide with the surgery is a free rabies vaccine which used to be donated to us but funding has since been cut so this is something we have been providing to the community out of our pocket. We also provide DHPP vaccines to any puppies under 1 year that the owner's cant afford to pay for on their own. If a family can't afford to pay for the cone or pain meds to go home with we also pick up those costs as well. These are just a few of the extra things AZK9 does besides the everyday work of the rescue so the funds are greatly needed for us to be able to continue on with our mission of rescue as well as provide these free services to our community.
