I NEED HELP! Hey guys, please forgive me as this is not where I want to be but where God has seen fit to pull me through. It is also why I'm reaching out to all of you.
My wife has taken the kids and left, it's been almost two months now. She had gotten an order of protection and by God's grace and mercy, the OP has been dismissed. Thank You, Father, but now there is a pending divorce hence the need for your help. I simply can not afford to go in there without representation. No, I am not going to fight it and pray that God would heal her heart, but that is only if its His will to do so.
My wife suffers from anxiety and depression and all that I want is for her to get the help that she needs and to come home where she is loved. My heart is broken, the only thing holding me together right now is my faith in Christ, serving and keeping myself busy as best I can.
What makes all this so difficult is the kids. The court date has been pushed back to mid-November, and I just miss my babies. In the meantime, my kids are somewhere else. Now for any of you women who have found yourselves in bad situations, please know that I love you and will pray for you, but this is NOT one of those. I truly believe that my wife is afraid, but fear is a liar. It is not of God and has manifested itself in my wife and has been projected on the kids. I am sure that it is due to the anxiety, but that is not for me to diagnose, but to support her as best that I can as it runs much deeper than my armchair evaluations can reach.
Natasha and I had Christin in 2009. Then after struggling through deployments, and life, we ended up here in Georgia. We bought a five-bedroom house, five years and another child later, Rian Elaine, we are now struggling through this. I want my family back more than anything and will welcome her home with open arms and true forgiveness. I just can't afford the $5k retainer that the lawyers say they need. I just can't afford it. That is why I am reaching out now.
I'm so far down right now that I'm rationing my meals, counting the miles until empty and have already reached out to one friend to help me just get through last months expenses, all the while knowing that it is all in Gods hands. So before you go ahead and make a commitment to helping me up, I want you to pray on it and if you don't know God the Father, know that I'll be praying for you and your heart to help a brother.
My family is everything to me. If we have to get a divorce so be it, but my faith will not waiver. My kids belong at home where it is a safe and loving environment, not at some undisclosed safe shelter. All this comes from a father saying no to two teenagers and putting my foot down to stand up for what I believe is true and correct, the Word.

I guess that's where the label "control freak" comes from? How about just a father who sets boundaries, sets standards for the home, but above all else Loves God and seeks Him first.
