My name is Issy Roberts and I am a student participating in an expedition to Cambodia in 2026.

This will be a 4 week expedition and will include community development work, environmental projects and wildlife conservation. It will also include additional elements including becoming Padi certified (scuba diving) and I will also be visiting historical landmarks such as the killing fields and Angkor wat.

The core objectives of this expedition are to undertake projects in order to:

- Raise the educational standards of developing communities within a rural district of Cambodia.

- Raise the living standards of developing communities, within a rural district of Cambodia.

- Assist with ongoing wildlife conservation programs to preserve biodiversity and protect vulnerable habitats.

This expedition is extremely important to me because I feel that I will acquire and develop many important life skills such as

-leadership skills

-communication skills

-team building skills

-independence

-problem solving skills

I am very excited to have the opportunity to explore Cambodia and to help and aid the community. I am also very excited

 to complete my Padi scuba diving course which I will have forever and will give me lots more opportunities in the future.
