Antoinette’s Cancer Treatment Fund

 

Hi my name is Tracy and I’m trying to raise money for my good friend Antoinette Thornton. She came to California to visit me and became very ill. I rushed her to the doctors over at Cedars-Sinai hospital where she was diagnosed with stage four metastatic colon cancer. She was so ill that she could not return home and has been receiving chemo treatments in California since May. The treatment has been working and has shrinked the tumors in her liver by 60 percent and in her lungs as well, but now the progress has come to a standstill. The treatment is very toxic and she have received the max dosage amount that will not paralyze her. Currently, she is on a maintenance dose, but the tumors in her lungs are starting to grow again, so she needs more help . We have found an alternative treatment that could possibly help at the Issels treatment clinic. They offer immuno treatment, where they can use your own immune system to fight your cancer. The immuno treatment is very expensive and unfortunately not covered by insurance. She cannot afford the cost alone so we are asking for help. My friend is a good candidate for the immuno treatment since all of her major organs are still functioning properly, despite the cancer spreading to her liver and her lungs. So the doctors at Issels feel they can help her. We don’t want to give up and we dont want her to become discouraged as this treatment could be a potential cure. My friend still have a lot of life within her and still have a son to raise with her husband and two other lovely children that help care for her. If you can help in any way, please do so.
