Isolation Impact Book

Help us remind our legislators that visitation prohibition and over-restriction still exists in the majority of long- term care facilities across the United States. This includes nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities and even many pediatric facilities. People dependent on long-term care to survive in a safe and healthy environment have been separated from family and loved ones for up to sixteen months with nothing more than closed window or electronic visits, lost memory of their loved ones, and even died without having ever seen their families again.

This publications will be sent to each of the 435 members of the United States House and Senate with stories from all 50 states and DC detailing the restrictions in place that strip these residents of rights they have been guaranteed since 1987 and will also give legislators a look at first person testimony of caregivers in their own states who have watched their loved ones live and die under isolation protocols.

HR3733 ensures that every resident has a right to 2 Essential Caregivers for up to 12 hours a day during a public health emergency.

Essential Caregivers, are chosen by the resident or the resident representative and are those that tend to their loved ones by helping feed, nurture, provide emotional support.

We are including stories and photos from each and every state across the country. This book will be delivered to each Congress member and  Senator. This will serve as our personal testimonies as to why this can never happen again.
