Ismael's Dog Rescue in Gorgona, Panama

Hi my name is Ro. I met Ismael, his mom and dad at a spay clinic in Panama. I was a volunteer transporting families to and from the clinic. I thought that it was clever that Ismael had used his backpack to bring his pups safely to the clinic. Fast forward two years and Ismael is now 12 years old and has rescued 10 dogs from the streets. He is very interested in keeping them healthy and happy. I say hats off to his family for saving the dogs and giving them a loving home. I've made a few requests to my rescue community to help with the family's needs such as dog food, monthly meds, annual vaccinations, emergency vet care, collars, leashes, doggy beds, bowls and such. I'm pleased to report that all the dogs over six months are spayed or neutered. The two newest pups will be sterilized when they turn six months in the spring, 2024. I want to assist the family in receiving the needed resources every month this year. Ten dollars a dog per month for the year is $1200. I believe this amount will greatly assist the family with their doggy "rescue." I don't believe their plan was to start a rescue, however this is essentially what is is. I'm grateful that they saw a need and filled it by rescuing the animals in the community in Gorgona, Panama. I've taken Israel to the vet with his dogs for all sorts of medical care. He is even now interested in working in vet care and animal welfare once he completes high school. Ismael will make a wonderful addition to the veterinary field.
