Hello friends and family (and hopefully a few strangers)!
Many of you know us well, but there may be a few who don’t. So let us tell you our amazing story that involves heartbreak but turned into such a gift from God. Let us start from the beginning…
We married in 2007. Starting a family was not at the front of our minds. We were newlyweds and had all the time in the world to think about children. In the summer of 2008, we got pregnant! It was not part of our plan for the moment, but as you can imagine, we both were over the moon. And then we miscarried. This has been the single most devastating experience we had gone through as a married couple. After trying again for 2 years, we were told the chances are quite slim. We both wanted a family very badly, and that is when adoption became part of our lives.
Fast forward to 2016 and here we are. In the process of our second adoption and waiting to travel in May. We have been truly blessed with the adoption of our first son from South Korea. And we are so excited to give our son a sibling from China!!
While adoption was not on our radar when we married, God has shown us this is the path we are to take. Our son is so precious to us and we are overjoyed to extend our family and help a child in need.
As you can imagine, this process is quite costly. They say, "it takes a village" and that saying could not be more correct! Throughout our first adoption, God had truly provided for us and we are ecstatic to see that happen again.
